Established as the Faculty of General Sciences, led by Mr. Thai Doan Thanh, separating from the Faculty of Economics and General Sciences.

Renamed to the Faculty of Basic Sciences.

Officially became the Faculty of Applied Sciences (Decision No. 2292/QD-DCT), aimed at becoming a major-managing faculty.

• Hosts Mathematics and Physics Olympiads since 2011 with numerous high awards.

🔬 Scientific Research

• Manages various research projects: Nafosted, Ministry/State, Provincial, and Institutional levels.
• Published over 200 papers, including over 50 ISI-indexed articles.
• Successfully organizes annual university-level research conferences.
